The green dragon you ride comes out of between annoucing her arrival. Below you under a warm tropical sun is a large, low rimmed Weyr. A cliff falls at the ocean's side down to a sandy beach. A few dragons are wallowing in the sands or the water, clearly enjoying the Threadfree skies. A waterfall of clear, cool water falls a little off center of the cliff. As the dragon veers to the left, her wings shifting under the current of the winds, you get a sense of reverance in the Weyr. There was a pride still left here, even if you had heard once of the strength of the Dark Moon wings and the Weyr.

Yet there is little left here. Just a small group of people here to hold out and simply live. You know of the ill-fated Falas Weyr, of the riders and people of the island who had fled here on last minute notice. You have heard of rumors that a group of riders had gone forward in time to reestablished there home and bring it back for the dawning of a New Pass. Others, too, have vanished, said to have followed K'man and his wing forward, taking with them the last breeding golden queen and leaving Dark Moon to die out once again.

"Here we are," the young woman says as her green lands neatly in front of the Lower Caverns. "And welcome to Dark Moon WeyrHold," she grins. Her name is Shala, her dragon green Vinyath. Well, her full name was Shalampayis but she had informed you upon introduction that most people just called her Shala. "Most people are out in the feilds right now, I think. It's a nice day out and we've a lot to get done. But don't hesitate to ask! Just let me know when you're ready to leave."

Vinyath turns her head to watch as you slide down her shoulder and land on the ground. Once clear, she warbles her own farewell, crouches and spreads her wings before taking off. You watch as the pair glide toward the lake where Shala dismounts and lets her dragon go bathe. Then, with a deep breath, you begin your visit to Dark Moon WeyrHold.

Dark Moon now has a future, in-training Weyrwoman! Azayla and her brother, Enzalan, have return from being missing for several Turns. Enzalan is a Journeyman Harper while his sister is a gold rider and is being trained by Ryo to take her place as Dark Moon's Weyrwoman! Gold Jalaneth's flight open to bronzes with riders who think they can be Weyrleaders! In addition to that, gold Jaerialoth and white Salenth are also on the flight board. I also have a clutch on the sands, green Vinyath and brown Rodith have eight eggs on the sands. So, people, what do you say! :D

Welcome to Dark Moon - reborn and ready for action once again in Cyber-Pern! There is one clutch on the sands. Light green Ilverinth and night blue Faroth, both of Ryslen, have surprised the WeyrHold with a cluch to attend to. Things at Dark Moon are done in the 'old-fashion' way, not how I do things at Falas Weyr. There are three Searchriders, Philippe (temprorary, obviously), Mina and Azya, a new character for Dark Moon. I've created the site as a tribute to the 'old days' that I rather miss but, hey, life in Cyber Pern goes on. Every clutch here will be generated by genetics, however. There is still some remaining new blood not of Mardanith and Ichiroth's clutches, but most of the dragons here were clutched by them. Flights are not open, images are well on the way. Please read the rules for further information. Other then that, welcome back to Dark Moon!

The original Dark Moon Weyr was founded and owned by Weyrwoman Azala. Azala was a friend of mine in high school and was the person responsiable for getting me into the adoption sites. Her last words to me was I could do what ever I wanted with Dark Moon. So, after years of doing nothing with it, I restarted it though I am using my own images. I may, if I feel like it, bring back some old characters of hers but that is yet undecided. Dark Moon WeyrHold is set in the Tenth Interval (I checked, it's the Tenth), after the fall of Falas Weyr at the end of the Tenth Pass.
